  • Physiological evaluation and development of NIBS techniques, performing non-invasive stimulation of the cerebral cortex by repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial static magnetic field stimulation (tSMS).

  • Study by means of functional magnetic resonance imaging.

  • Application of neuromodulation techniques (tDCS, rTMS, tSMS) in neurodegenerative pathologies, chronic pain, spinal cord injury, migraines and fatigue.

  • Study of clinical and neurophysiological aspects of spinal cord injury in humans.

  • Development of assessment protocols for patients with spinal cord injury.

  • Clinical trials on patients with spinal cord injury or patients with drug-resistant chronic pain.

  • Study of the neurophysiological mechanisms involved in central fatigue (in healthy volunteers, in patients with spinal cord injury and in patients with multiple sclerosis).

  • Treatment of central fatigue in spinal cord injury using cannabinoid receptor antagonists/inverse agonists. Carried out in collaboration with the Molecular Neuroprotection Group (GNPM) of the HNP. This project is financed through an agreement with the company Samos Medical Enterprise S.L.U.

  • Clinical trials in spinal cord injured patients with fatigue.
